Electrolytic Zinc Plating

Zinc plating deposits a zinc coating on metal through an electroplating process to help protect components from corrosion and provide a consistent finish.

Neos Group uses controlled processes to support coating adhesion and uniformity according to the project's technical requirements.

The Zinc Electroplating Process

  1. 1

    Surface Preparation

Clean, degrease, and pickle parts to prepare the surface for coating adhesion.

  2. 2

    Electrodeposition

Immerse parts in a zinc-salt electrolyte and apply current to deposit the coating.

  3. 3

    Passivation

Apply a chemical treatment to improve corrosion resistance and achieve the specified finish color.

  4. 4

    Drying and Finishing

Dry and inspect the parts against coating requirements.
